Four châteaux. Four wines. Four small paintings of France at its most quietly beautiful.
This is a curated set of four original New Old Stock French wine bottle labels — circa 1930s–1950s chromolithographs, all selected for their château and castle imagery, three of the four gilded. Never used, never attached to a bottle. The set includes: Domaine du Beau Relais, Domaine de Belle-Vue, Château Bleu, and Clos St Jerome. One set available.
These are labels only. No frame is included. We suggest purchasing a multi-opening frame locally to save on shipping — a standard 8x10 or 5x7 multi-opening frame works beautifully with this set.
The set was curated for its imagery and its coherence. Each label carries its own château — a tower here, a manor there, stone walls and vines and the soft colours of the French countryside rendered in chromolithographic ink. Domaine du Beau Relais. Domaine de Belle-Vue. Château Bleu. Clos St Jerome. Four different wines, four different estates, unified by a palette of muted, warm tones and the unhurried elegance that defined French wine label design at its peak. Three of the four carry gilding, visible in the photographs. Guaranteed genuine originals, not reproductions.
Display them together in a multi-opening frame for a French château wall, group them with other label sets from our shop for a larger curated arrangement, or keep each label individually in its own small frame.
A wonderful gift for a French wine enthusiast, a Francophile, a lover of château architecture, or anyone building a wall that deserves something old, original, and thoroughly French.
